Do you know what your funeral options are when you die?

Burial or cremation?  Funeral service or memorial service?  Engaging a funeral director or doing-it-yourself?  Embalm or not to embalm?  What does it cost?  What support services are available to help with the grief of losing a loved one? And, if you want to pre-plan a farewell in advance, where should you begin?

Welcome to Everything Funeral – an independent service helping coordinate a meaningful final farewell.

Brent Ruru established Everything Funeral after seven years in the funeral industry, having worked as both an independent Funeral Celebrant that transitioned into a full-time Funeral Director role with InvoCare New Zealand.

COVID-19 ignited a change in the funeral industry landscape.  Traditions were disrupted.  Ways of doing celebrations of life modified.  A period that has provided opportunity to perhaps do things a little more different, post-COVID.

Creating smarter affordable options for families to personalise the gathering of coming together, support one another, remember and celebrate the life, and still, make it a meaningful farewell of a loved one.

As an independent Funeral Celebrant, Brent is available to officiate funerals and memorial services if you engage a Funeral Director or is available to officiate a privately arranged celebration of life.

As an independent Consultant, Brent can offer advice to support families to help coordinate funeral options at a poignant time of loss, or to pre-plan.

Bereavement is the experience of losing someone important to us. It’s characterised by grief, which is the process and the range of emotions we go through when we experience a loss.  Brent can provide some practical resiliency self-care tips to enable individuals journeying through the grief space.

Taking the time to understand what funeral options are available before death, will help with some peace of mind choices, in the event of your death.
